This short week has flown by and we’re almost to the weekend! Tonight, I’m heading to a birthday dinner, so my night will be full of sushi, wine, dancing and laughter!
In typical Friday fashion, I’m sharing some of the things I’ve been loving lately!
Seasoned Buffalo Ghee
I finally jumped on the ghee bandwagon and decided to try out this seasoned one from Trader Joe’s. I’m totally hooked. It has a buttery taste with a hint of cumin and turmeric! I’ve been roasting veggies in this to add some healthy fats and flavor.
New Marinade Alert: Ginger Juice + Soy Sauce
I found ginger juice at my local Whole Foods and was intrigued, so decided to create my own marinade with it along with soy sauce. It’s such a simple one to make and tastes great with fish and chicken! I’ve now used it with swordfish, tuna steaks and chicken breasts.
yes, that is a Santa Clause spoon rest. Have I mentioned that Dane is obsessed with Santa Claus? More on that later…
Smoked Olive Oil
I’m loving fats lately, aren’t I? I found this at Trader Joe’s and put it on veggies every night (If I’m not using ghee!). It adds so much flavor and is much more exciting than regular olive oil. Definitely recommend giving this a try!
On the best workout routine for you
I posted this on Instagram, but wanted to spread the word further.
As a coach I am commonly asked, “Carrie, what is the best diet and workout routine to get me fit?” This is one of the most difficult and frustrating questions to answer. Why is that? Well, I hate to break it to you, but there is no “one magical formula.” By that, I mean there is no “best” way to go about your fitness goal. In fact, there are lots of great ways to get to your goal. What it comes down to, however, is which method works best for YOU. That means the method that makes you happy, keeps you healthy and is sustainable as a lifestyle. I encourage you to stop focusing on how others are eating and working out and focus on what will make you successful, happy and healthy!
Now you tell me…
What’s your go-to marinade?
Ghee: YAY or NAY?
What’s one thing making you happy today?
