Guys, I freakin’ love condiments. I mean who doesn’t, right? They add so much flavor to my meals and there are so many to choose from that my meals will never get boring. However, there are certainly some that are better than others in terms of their nutritional value. I’m ALL about balance, so I’m not super gung-ho on getting the most organic, most natural stuff, but I am careful not blow out my macro goals  with bucket loads of condiments. I try to choose lighter condiments and while they may not be filled with the best ingredients, that’s okay to me because I eat lots of foods throughout the day that are more natural and fresh. BALANCE is the BEST.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite and go-to condiments that I use throughout the week and how I use them:

Ketchup and marinara!

I love to put ketchup on my beef burgers (usually 2x per week) and I love to use a couple spoonfuls of marinara in my cauliflower rice or Zoodles (zucchini noodles).zucchini noodles or zoodlesmy favorite condiment is ketchup

Fat Free Ranch and Gyoza sauce!

These are both delicious. This version of ranch is extremely thick, so I love to put it on my burgers or baked vegetables. The gyoza sauce is sweet and sticky, so it’s great on cauliflower rice! healthy condiments

Salsa and lemon juice!

I ain’t no stranger to lemon juice. I legitimately put lemon juice on everything I cook. It adds the zing that I need. Also, anytime I have arugula, I rub it with lemon juice and pepper and my goodness, it’s good! Salsa is great for everything and I truly believe everyone should have salsa on hand. I always put salsa on my baked fish! salsa is a healthy condiment

SPICES!

So, not technically a condiment, but whatever, I use these everyday too. My favorites are cumin, turmeric, oregano and cinnamon. Cinnamon belongs on my apples and the rest are always involved whether I put them on roasted vegetables, chicken, fish or broccoli slaw.spices are a healthy condiment
So there we have it! These are definitely my go-to heathy condiments that I always have on hand and couldn’t live without. They add flavor to my meals without adding a huge load of empty calories…

Now you tell me…

What is your go-to condiment?
Ketchup: YAY or NAY?
