Hello! Hope you had a lovely weekend!
So, we’re entering the season with family and friend gatherings, which means lots of food and drink! With the holidays coming up, I have a few pieces of advice for you to:
1. Don’t over think.
Listen to your body- eat intuitively…try not to think of what you ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’ eat or do.
2. If you want to indulge, indulge!
But don’t eat everything in sight just because it’s there. If you want it, have it, but don’t feel pressure to indulge every time.
3. Breathe and let go.
We all indulge a little too much sometimes, we all wish we hadn’t *done* that, *eaten* that much etc… it happens to all of us. It won’t kill you, I promise! Get back on track and don’t think back.
I know it’s easy to get down on yourself, but that only sends you into a horrible downward spiral and it makes it even harder to get back on track. If you try not to overthink it, it’s much easier!
Before I leave you, here are a few meals I’ve been enjoying lately!
Quest bar, Greek yogurt and a big mug of coffee (my usual breakfast and night cap!)
Whole wheat tortilla with chicken sausage, mature cheddar cheese and a salad tossed in dijon, mustard, lime juice and pepper!
Quest nutrition protein chips (sour cream and onion are my favorite flavor!), chopped veggies in dijon, mustard and pepper with Perky Jerky jerky and mature cheddar cheese!
I love dipping the chips into the salad
Question of the Day:
What’s your favorite thing about the holiday season?
