Hello from London! If you aren’t already aware, I grew up in London, so I’m home visiting my family this week. I haven’t been home in two and half years (California and London are pretty darn far away), so it’s hard to make frequent trips home. I’m so happy to be home with my family and home where my heart is!

Today, I’m back for another recipes, round-ups and Q+A post. This is where I showcase some interesting links from around the web, throwback to some old posts of mine, answer your anonymous questions and highlight some yummy recipes I find on the web!

Around the web:

  • This inspiring and wonderfully written post by Erin. I love this chica and I love the strong message she sends. This is my favorite line: “In order to live your best life, my suggestion is to figure out what that means for you. Not what social media tells you it is or what your girlfriends are doing, but what feels right for you.”
  • This post by Jessica on how she maintains a healthy lifestyle while traveling.
  • Farmers Market healthy recipes!
  • 5 Fitness changes you can make right now.

Throwback:

Ask me anything:

Ask your questions here!

Q: You talk a lot about your past struggles with body image and self-love. How did you overcome that?

A:  I could write for hours on this topic and no words can describe the pains and struggles of my past, but if I had to choose one point of focus that helped me over come my destructive mindset, it would be this:

Just…let it go

You are you and you have your own life. You don’t need to be like any of those fitness models. Some of those fitness girls that you look up to aren’t great role models. They don’t have healthy mindsets, they don’t have healthy bodies and they don’t care about anything other than fame, looks and their status.

Constantly feeling down on yourself and getting caught up in what others look like and what others are doing is not worth it. You have one life and it’s your  life to live. Live it for you, not for anyone else. It’s breaking you down inside and there is so much more to life than seeing what {Insert fitness model’s name} ate for breakfast. Once I was able to let my fascination with what others were doing go, I was actually able to focus on me and find what makes me happy and healthy.
