Happy Friday, folks! It’s been a lovely week here in SF, but I’m excited to get the weekend going. I don’t have too much planned, which is great, but I’m getting my hair done tomorrow since I have two trips coming up! Oh, how I love summer traveling. What are you up to this weekend?
Today, I’m sharing some favorites from this week like I usually do. I save all my Friday Favorite posts in this category on my sidebar, so if you are looking for new foods or things to try, you can sift through them!
Icon Meals Power Protein Popcorn
So, I found Icon Meals on Instagram a while ago and was incredibly intrigued by their pre-made meals and protein popcorn. I reached out and the CEO, Todd kindly offered to send me their protein popcorn as well as some of their pre-made, macro controlled meals. I’m still working my way through the meals, but I’ve dug into the popcorn packs and I can’t stop eating it. Seriously. I’ve been eating it every single night! The popcorn has 21g carbs, 10g protein and 3g fat per serving (that protein count is incredible!) and it comes in unique flavors like Canadian Maple, Mint Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Vanilla, Banana Split and more. The popcorn is heavily coated and thick, so I don’t feel like I’m eating air. It’s super sweet and addictive, but I love knowing that I’m getting in some hard-earned carbs and much need protein while I’m munching away. A lot of my clients tend to have extra carbs and protein at the end of the day, so this popcorn is a great option to help hit those macro targets!
My New Supplement Recommendations Page!
So stoked to tell you that I added a new page to my site with all my favorite supplements. It’s under the “workout programs” tab. There are a lot of supplements out there (some are bogus, but I believe in a few essentials). While you don’t need supplements, they are a great way to improve your workout performance and recovery. I have narrowed down a list for you with all of the essentials that I use and my favorite brands! You can find them all here!
Summer Cocktails
Summer is in full force and I love treating myself to refreshing cocktails! This particular one was a Gin Collins with gin, cucumber, lime and soda water. I like to keep a healthy balance and cocktails are included in that!
Mini Larabars
I picked these babies (literally!) up at Target last week because I usually need a small pick-me-up in the afternoon before dinner. I’ve had Larabars in the past, but it had been a while since I had one. I forgot how delicious they are! I love the dessert-y flavors, so this chocolate chip one was perfect for me. 6g of fat in this bad boy, which is great for keeping me satisfied until dinner!
Runny yolks
I know what you’re thinking, “well duh! who doesn’t love runny yolks?”, but I just really need to highlight them this week because they are truly wonderful. I’ve been making sunny side up eggs for lunch a lot and there’s just something about runny yolks on a hot day that make me happy.
Now you tell me…
Sunny side up or over easy eggs?
Popcorn: YAY or NAY?
What’s your go to pick-me-up snack?
