Happy Friday, folks! Boy, this week was a long one, so I’m excited to be staying home this weekend. The past two weekends have been such a blast! I went to Tahoe for Labor Day and Denver last weekend for a quick trip, so it’s nice not to be traveling this weekend. What are your weekend plans?
I’ve got some goodies that I’m loving this week, so I wanted to share them as I usually do on Fridays. If you have any things you are loving this week, I highly recommend joining Heather’s favorites’ posts! It’s always fun to find new things to try.
Traditional Medicinals Tea
I recently picked up Traditional Medicinals tea and I don’t regret it one bit. There are a lot of tea brands out there so I usually just stick to the same brands, but when I learned that Traditional Medicinals isn’t like your normal tea, I had to give them a try. They actually use medical (pharmacopoeial) grade herbs, so their teas are wellness teas that have healing purposes rather than your typical drinking teas. They are also Fair Trade certified and dedicated to environmental sustainability, so I physically feel better while drinking their tea and I emotionally feel good to support their values. So far, my favorite teas are Throat Coat and Stress Ease!
Liquid Smoke
Oh my goodness, this stuff is magical. I remember using this as a kid, but it’s hard to find so when I found a bottle at my local market, I had to snag it. I use this for marinading chicken, swordfish and tuna and it makes a world of a difference. It adds such a potent smokey flavor to your meats! You only need a little bit too, so the bottle will last some time (unless you’re me and you’ve used it almost everyday–woops!) If you want to take your marinades to the next level, get this.
Nut Snack Packs
I’ve mentioned these before, but these are so handy for those awkward, sudden ‘hangries’ that we all get. I keep a bag in my purse at all times and it saves me when I’m hungry and out and about. I love how they are portion controlled because let’s be real, who can stop at a handful of nuts? Such an easy, filling and healthy snack to keep in your bag at all times.
Fall Decor
Oh yeah, my favorite season of the year is here and Dane and I have decked out the apartment with Fall decor. We went to Home Goods and Ross a few weekends ago and stocked up on some cute Fall accessories. I’m loving my new tablecloth and kitchen towels!
Now you tell me…
