15 Healthy Snacks to Pack for Traveling

One thing you should know about me is that I love to plan.

Whenever I travel, I always make lists of what to pack, including snacks! I tend to get a serious case of the “hangries” when I haven’t eaten in a while, so I always have healthy snacks on hand so that I don’t wait too long and make poorer decisions later on. I have a trip coming up soon, so I’ve been making lists of what snacks I plan on taking with me.

Today, I’m sharing some of the snacks I’m packing for my next trip and ones I recommend taking with you on your next trip!

Jerky:

Caveman’s Chicken Jerky is my favorite jerky to nosh on!

Also, these Epic Jerky Bars are super easy to pack and eat on the go!

Nuts:

These Blue Diamond packets are portion controlled and easy to pack. I love pre-packed nut packets as they’re easier to eat and throw away and you don’t have to lug around a big tin or bag of them!

Heart Ridge Farms also has some unique pre-packed nuts to grab!

Nut Butter:

It’s no surprise that I love peanut butter, so these Jif-To-Go packs are always in my carry-on bag. I love to dip carrots or apple slices in these cups, or I’ll pair one with a packet of jerky for protein and fat-filled snack!

These Dark Chocolate Dreams packets are a great choice too! Peanut butter + chocolate = AMAZING.

I also pack powdered peanut butter. It’s higher in protein and lower in fat than nut butter, so when I don’t have a good protein option on hand, I mix some of this powder with sweetener and water to make a protein packed paste for dipping, or eating alone!

Savory Snacks:

Tuna salad crackers kit. Okay, yes, you will be hated. Tuna smells– we get it, but who cares? Tuna is packed full of protein and will keep you full for hours while you travel. Eat that tuna with confidence!

Chickpea snacks are a great protein packed option too (and won’t smell as much!).

Another option are these coconut chips! They’re packed with fats to keep you full.

These Half Popped Popcorn packs are pre-packaged and full of flavor for your snacking needs.

Bars:

Larabars are such a great option. They are packed with healthy fats and carbohydrates and have a short ingredients list. Cookie Dough is my all time favorite flavor— because…well…is there anything better than cookie dough?

I freakin’ love these Bounce balls. They are SO DENSE and chewy!

Clearly, ball shapes are in because these Paleo Angel Power Balls are a huge hit too. Snickerdoodle? Yes, please!

For the red-eye flying folks, these bars have CAFFEINE in them to give you a boost of energy during those difficult travel hours!
